I joined the Office at the school in September 2006 on a part-time basis when my youngest son started school full-time. My job has evolved during this time and I am now the Office Team Leader working as part of a team with three other Office Team Members.
Each day brings a new challenge and I thoroughly enjoy the variety of my job and the new experiences each week brings and working with a fantastic team.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, which often involves attending sporting events, socialising with my friends and walking my dog, Reggie.
I joined The Reddings School in February 2008 as a Midday Supervisor assisting with the lunch time club in the Nursery. I also became a temporary Teaching Assistant working within the Nursery and Reception for about a year. After this I continued to be a Midday Supervisor in the main part of the school.
In February 2011 I was offered a position within the school office on a part time basis.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
I joined the office team at
The Reddings in April 2015.
I previously worked in an administration role within the financial services industry for 29 years so working at the school has been a change in direction for me. I always wanted to work with children and it is lovely to see how they enjoy learning new things. Every day is different and brings with it a new challenge, and I am enjoying the new experiences that working at the Reddings gives me.
Away from school I enjoy reading, socialising with
friends and caravanning with my family.
I joined The Reddings in December 2014 as an MSA.
I enjoy working with the children and interacting with them at lunchtimes.
When not at school I do a lot of walking and I enjoy reading true stories.
I joined the staff at the school in April 2016. I have an extensive background in Plumbing, Heating and Maintenance. I have worked in Schools, Hospitals and the Retail environment for over 40 years. I have worked at both Technical and Management level. I am married with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I originally came from London and I have lived in Hemel Hempstead since 1976. I enjoy working as part of a team.
I have been part of The Reddings since September 2017 as a PE/Sports Apprentice. This role allows me to work with every year group and interact with a large proportion of the children and staff. I have recently started a SMART Moves group (with the support of Eileen Murphy) for seven Year 1/2 children - this is aimed at improving their motor skills in PE and in the classroom. I also incorporate these skills into the Nursery and Reception PE lessons.
I have always had a passion for sport whether it be playing or coaching. I began girls cricket coaching with my Dad when I was around 12 years old and have been playing at club/county level for many years. I also went to college for two years to study a Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science. Which I achieved DDM (Distinction/Distinction/Merit).
Outside of school I have a love for music (listening and going to concerts/festivals) and I play many different sports which include; cricket, football and racketball. I have enjoyed working alongside such a great bunch of people and having many fantastic opportunities thrown my way.
