We are a happy class, within a one form entry school and are very much part of the school community. Wherever possible, the Nursery is involved in whole school events.
Our Nursery has been judged by Ofsted as 'Good' and when Ofsted visited, they were able to see what happy children we have and how excited they are by learning.
Children in Nursery follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and are taught using a topic based approach. Learning is done through play, led by the teacher, with opportunities to apply knowledge through child initiated learning.
We have a fantastic learning environment which enables children to be independent and take risks. Our outdoor area has been designed with the needs of the Nursery and Reception children in mind and it enables us to provide learning opportunities that are adapted to a wide range of learning styles.
In September we take children who have had their third birthday. For children who turn three during the course of the academic year, we are happy to discuss the possibility of applications for early entry in the Summer term enabling them to have four terms in our Nursery. This will be considered on a case by case basis.
Priority for early entry consideration will go to siblings of those already attending the school and on the condition that there are spaces available.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss any matters further.
Applications can be made using the form attached.
Applications for the academic year 2019-2020 open on February 4th and must be received by the school office before 8th May.
Please contact the school directly for our Nursery tours.
